We serve all of Pflugerville, from the older streets near Pecan Street out past SH 130. The trip from our South Austin base is about 30 minutes in normal traffic, up SH 130 or I-35 to SH 45. One number sets this city apart: 745. That was the 1980 census count. By 2010 it was 46,936, and the 2020 census found 65,191. A town that grows that fast does it through production subdivisions, and plenty of those houses came with gutters chosen for price. Twenty-plus years on, the first wave is due for a closer look, and some later homes may never have had a full set.
How a Pflugerville estimate works
It starts with a look at the yard, not the ladder. Stains, washed mulch and soil pulled away from the slab or foundation edge tell us where a downspout has been failing. Then we measure linear feet, check the fascia and mark new outlet spots with you.
You get a written line-item quote. It spells out the gauge, gutter size, color, downspout count and guards. Nothing thinner than .027 aluminum goes up, and we explain the .032 option if you want it. Approve it when you are ready, and we schedule the job. On the day, we take off the old set, roll-form the new one in your driveway so seams exist only at corners and end caps, then walk the discharge points with you once it is clean.

“Omar and his coworker replaced all our old gutters, hauled off the old gutters and said to call if we had any issues at all. Very polite and efficient.”
“We are very happy with the service we got from Victor and his team. Victor was very courteous and communicative. Quoted us an excellent price compared to competitors. We’d recommend Victor to anyone looking to get new gutters!”
East of SH 130 the blackland clay gets heavier
Pflugerville does not sit on one soil. USDA maps change as you head east along Pecan Street. Toward I-35 you can find Eddy gravelly loam, thin and chalky. Around the middle of town it is Austin silty clay. East of SH 130 the picture turns to Heiden clay and Houston Black clay, with Tinn clay in the creek bottoms. Heiden and Houston Black are the classic shrink-swell soils of the Blackland Prairie. USDA lists both at up to about 17 percent linear extensibility, against 1.5 for Eddy.

In plain English, the east side moves more. Dry summers open cracks along the foundation, and a downspout that dumps at the corner pours water straight into them. If your house sits on a slab, as many Central Texas subdivision homes do, that repeated wet and dry at one corner is what you want to stop. We set discharge 6 to 10 feet out. A short elbow onto a splash block will not get there.
Age matters too. Census estimates put the median build year near 2004, with about 22 percent of housing units from the 1990s, 29 percent from the 2000s and 28 percent from the 2010s. National tables list aluminum gutters at 20 to 30 years, so the 1990s group is in that window now. Gutter replacement is the question to ask on those.
Hail is the seasonal check. Storm reports logged quarter-size hail about 4 miles from Pflugerville on May 9, 2026. A dented gutter still carries water, but a bent lip or a crushed outlet does not, so walk the eaves after a storm like that. Ask us about same-day gutter repair.

Gutter service Pflugerville subdivisions need most
- Gutter replacement
For 1990s homes wearing thin, original builder-grade runs. Census estimates put about 22 percent of housing units in that decade, now inside the 20 to 30 year national listing.
- Downspout installation
Adds outlets and extensions to keep water off heavy clay near the foundation. East of SH 130, where Heiden and Houston Black take over, the reach should hit 6 to 10 feet.
- Gutter installation
Fills in any eave that was left without gutters when the house was built. Walk each side of a later subdivision home and note where roof water still drops straight down.
- Leaking gutter repair
Fixes joints and corners on sectional runs from the boom years. One bad corner can be resealed, while several weeping joints on a 1990s set point to new seamless runs.
- HOA and multifamily gutters
Handles shared buildings and matching colors across a community. We name the coil color on the quote for your HOA form, and keep layouts consistent from one Pflugerville building to the next.
- Storm gutter repair
Hail and wind can bend lips and pull hangers on Pflugerville eaves. We document what we find and quote the repair, and the claim itself stays between you and your insurer.

Gilleland Creek, Lake Pflugerville and HOA checks
A few local points save time. Pflugerville is mostly in Travis County with a small piece in Williamson County, so double-check which county appraisal record covers you. Austin's permit list does not apply inside this city; ask Pflugerville Development Services if your job goes past swapping gutters. Austin's wildland-urban interface code does not apply here either.
Many subdivisions have an HOA, and some want approval for visible changes. Get your color choice cleared before the quote is final. We can provide the coil color name for the form. Runoff here ends up in Gilleland Creek or Wilbarger Creek, the two creeks that cross the area. Lake Pflugerville, the 180-acre reservoir created in 2005, is the landmark most people steer by on the east side, and the 1904 town plat near Pecan Street is the original core.
Utilities split by address. The city bills water, wastewater, trash and recycling for customers in its service area, while Manville Water Supply Corporation serves much of northeast Travis County and provides water only. More than 40 miles of city trails include the Gilleland Creek Trail, and the city samples that creek monthly at nine points under a bacteria cleanup plan. Aim outlets at lawn, not at a bare swale running toward the creek.

Pflugerville gutter questions
Are the original gutters on a 2000s Pflugerville home worth keeping?
Often yes, if they are sound and the downspouts work. A home from the 2000s is around 20 years in, the low end of the national life listing for aluminum. Check for sagging, leaking joints and thin stock. If only the outlets are the problem, we would add downspouts and extensions before quoting a new set. The written quote shows both.
Why does the east side of Pflugerville need longer downspout extensions?
Because the clay moves more. USDA maps show Heiden and Houston Black clay east of SH 130, and both shrink and swell strongly with moisture. Water dumped at the foundation feeds that cycle. Keep discharge 6 to 10 feet out and never under 5. On west-side gravelly soil the same reach is still good practice, but the stakes are lower.
Does my Pflugerville HOA have to approve new gutters?
It depends on your covenants, so read them or ask the management company. Many HOAs care about color and appearance on the street side. Submit the color and scope before you schedule. Ask us for a written quote with the color named, and use that for the form. We can show coil samples at the estimate so you can match your trim.
Do you really cover Pflugerville from South Austin?
